The Cast of Rebel Without A Cause

Above is Schwab's Pharmacy circa 1955. The small building next to it was a diner called "Googies" where Dean spent many late nights with friends Maila Nurmi and Jack Simmons during the shooting of Rebel.

Same location today at Sunset and Cresent Heights in Hollywood, California.

James Dean's roomate and UCLA buddy, Bill Bast (Surviving Dean) recommended Jimmy for a job as an Usher in 1951 at CBS Studios (above).  The job was short-lived. Jimmy called the mandatory uniform a "monkeysuit" and hated the job.

The same building below as it appears today at 6121 Sunset in Hollywood.

The above area at Griffith Park in 1997 is where Jim Stark (James Dean) in Rebel Without A Cause got his 1949 Customized Mercury's tires puntured by Buzz (Corey Allen).

Maila Nurmi (Vampira). Maila was a television hostess of horror films. She would spend many nights with Jimmy during the making of Rebel. Jimmy put her dabblings in the occult to the test by frightening her with his bent toward self-destruction.
